By Bud L. Ellis
Four members of the Arkansas Razorbacks have earned preseason honors from Southeastern Conference coaches.
Two Hogs landed on the first team of the All-SEC Coaches’ team. Two other Arkansas players made the second team.
Junior quarterback Ryan Mallett and senior tight end D.J. Williams, two of the brighter offensive stars in the SEC, made the first team. Named to the second team were senior offensive lineman DeMarcus Love and junior linebacker Jerry Franklin.
The coaches’ team was announced Tuesday, in advance of the SEC Media Days.
Arkansas finished tied with Auburn and Mississippi State for fourth in the SEC West last season, going 3-5 in conference play. The Hogs finished 8-5 overall and carry high hopes of contending in the West into this season.
